Top 10 weird visa applications

Are applying for a Visa somewhere?  Maybe to work or live out a dream?  Do you know that your reasons for applying do matter when filling up the application or when interviewed?   So, I suggest you put your acts together and make sure it agrees with the laws of the particular country you want access to, thus getting higher chances of getting  approved.
We are all unique in any sense, that’s already given, we all have certain hopes in our lives, which might have been inspired from your favourite show, a novel or maybe sparked from an article read in the past.  This somehow, though slim in chance may have pushed us to gain interest in trying our luck and living that glorious aspirations outside the Philippines.  I guess everything is possible now-a-days but then do consider the list I have below, if you are under this spell, and consider this wise.
Globalvisas.com has put together a list of the ten weirdest applications they have come across in the last 12 months. When asked for their reasons for travel, applicants gave an unusual array of answers - from the illegal, to the unexpected, and the frankly odd.  Global Visas is a private company that helps individuals and businesses wishing to secure visas in the country of their choice.
According to them, the ten strangest reasons for applying for a visa are the following:

1) A South African man applied for a European visa, by saying he wanted to go to Romania to become a vampire hunter.

2) On his UK visa application, a Brazilian man said he wanted to bring "flamenco to the streets of Norwich".

3) A Russian woman applied for a European visa, so she could work as a prostitute in the Netherlands.

4) An embalmer from Mexico applied for a visa to ply his trade in Spain. When his criminal record was unearthed, the visa was refused.

5) On his European visa a Mali man said he was skilled with a pirogue, and wanted to transfer his skills to gondola driving in Venice.

6) A UK man listed his profession as a dog food taster on his US visa application.

7) A man in the Philippines applied to travel to Australia because he was "evading the local authorities".

8) One woman applying to move from France to the US gave her profession as 'foot model'.

9) A woman applied for a UK visa, saying she had "seasonal work as a zombie" .

10) A Peruvian man applied for a European visa to work as an "alpaca shearer" during "shearing season".

Note that every country has certain laws and limitations when come to this.   So for an absurd reason of running from the a crime here in Manila, don’t count your luck on it.  If ever you fall into the list or  you are at loss of what better career options to file for, it would be good to seek out professionals who are adept to this kind of application, and those that could assure your visa approval.

Don’t get into shameful discussions about your reasons and thus getting disappointed on a disapproved application and eventually not finding a vampire or zombies in some countries.

Robinsons Place in Roxas City Near to Open

Roxas City known as Sea Foods capital of the Philippine is now continuing the region's economic growth. This picture was taken August 7, 2013 and the expected date to complete the said building is on November or December this year. I have noticed that the parking space was so big as well as the building area.

As to wikipedia, John Gokongwei owner of Robisons Land Corporation and founder of JG Summit Holdings assure the quality and the design of their building and it is like marvel,  it will be the third full-service -Robinsons mall in Western Visayasand the first in Northern Panay. The mall will also have four cinemas, including a 3-D cinema. It will also have an 800-space open parking area.

The new development is also a testament to Robinsons Malls’ commitment to sustainability. Full-height showcase windows allow mall habitués to take advantage of natural lighting, and green spaces will be strategically placed throughout the development. “These will follow an Asian tropical landscaping design, where areas will be predominantly planted with tropical palms,” said Magtibay. The open parking area will also be landscaped to go with the theme

After this Robinsons Place Roxas Capiz will start to lunch I am sure lot of people will visit and this will be the next one stop shop of every Capizeño's and guest. The mall is located in the heart of Roxas Capiz Pueblo de Panay, Barangay Lawaan just away from the main plaza.

Unforgettable Dumaguete Day 1

When : July 19-21 ,2013
Hotel: Manhattan Suites, Dumaguete
What: Area Council Meeting (JCI Philippines)

I was up as early as five am  July 19,2013  not a very usual day because I was looking forward to a trip going to a place where I have not been before. I was very excited for so many reasons, first I get to have a time for myself, these past few weeks of having no nanny with us simply drained everything out of me. And luckily my husband is very supportive of the idea that I should get a vacation without them. Second reason, the people that I get to go with. Third reason is the meeting (hehe) and the Last Reason is that I get to visit a new place and I heard Dumaguete is very nice.

A ten minute taxi trip from our house to a port where the ferry boat going to Bacolod is our meeting place. Bought a round trip ticket for the four of us, single ticket for Php 435.00 while the round trip ticket is only Pph 665.00 each.

See Weesam site  for more info here

After an hour we reached Bacolod, our ride is waiting for us Thanks to Pres Kay , AVP RJ and of course Pres Lucky. We decided to have coffee first before our long travel.

10 o'clock in the morning we started to go. Its very nice it seems very green y in this part of the world. Bacolod City has wider roads compared to Iloilo City but I know Our Honorable Mayor is working on it now.

A 6 hour drive Is very boring but not when you are with Audrae and Essy. They started talking when Pres Lucky started her car. An hour later  they are still talking and we cant help it but laugh to whatever topic they feel to argue with. Funny Audre  complained of her headache. They never stopped we reached Dumaguete 4 in the afternoon with flying colors. Until we put our things and bags inside our hotel room the two of them never stopped talking and laughing. Our first day is intended for a City Tour. But First I want you to see our Hotel a very affordable one (see photo below) P1182 per night,we are 4 so its very cheap.

Visit Manhattan Suites Inn facebook site for more info

A pose inside the lobby of our hotel before our exploration of the city begins.

Cafe Mamia found at the corner of San Jose and Sta. Catalina Sts. is a very cozy place to have your coffee or even dine. They serve really good food.

You should try their House Iced Tea. Delicious.

After enjoying our dinner we decided to have our coffee in a different place,of course after we settled bill.

So here we are at Sans Rival Bistro, just along Rizal boulevard. we finally got a taste of the so called Silvanas, coffee as expected are excellent in here.

What a place to have a chat with your friends. It feels like home away from home.

Day 1 is almost over. We were ready to go back to our hotel and take a rest and prepare for another daycation.

Be The Miracle

This will only take a few minutes to read. Please see photo below and realize the power of a father's love. A father who will do anything and everything to be with his son growing up. One who will not allow any hurdle or sickness to take hold of him. A father that has no other wish in this world but to be there for his family.

This is the story of my friend Michelle Ann Fernandez-Dechavez. A wife and a mother that I admire for her strength and positivity against all odds. Someone who believes in hope, miracles and courage. That no matter what happens, she will surpass the darkness.

I now humbly ask all friends to be a light to Michelle, Kitz and their little boy. Let us show them that prayers can come true and love exits in humanity. Yes, some of you may not know who they are but ask yourself, "How great will I feel knowing that I helped save a life?"

I believe in LOVE. I believe in HOPE. Above all, I believe that there is always GOODNESS in one man for another.

Be a miracle and give LIFE.

BinGit Egida Dechavez, REALLY needs our help. He is sick and the only cure left is for him to undergo bone marrow transplant. He is said to have relapsed. Cancer cells are up at 15% from the previous 2%. And for him to be able to undergo said transplant, the family needs roughly 6 million pesos.

Any response is greatly appreciated. Thank You! God bless you! Or if you happen to know a foundation or charity, local or international, that could help them, you may send a message to his wife, MichelleAnn Fernandez-Dechavez as well.

Please share God Bless!

Artful Sculptures Await Ironman Champions

The victory of being the strongest and fastest among the Cobra Ironman 70.3 Philippines contenders shall come with an exceptional trophy envisioned by internationally renowned designer Kenneth Cobonpue, and crafted by the metal artisans of Suarez and Son.

Photo Link and credit to Globe Site

The trophies feature flowing metal figures, which showcase the three categories in triathlon. These perfectly represent the movement involved in the sport, and each is plated with gold, silver, and bronze. The figures rest on a wooden base for the female division and on a metal base for the male division.

And since this year’s ironman shall be held in Mactan Shangri-La on August 4, it is fitting to showcase the artistry of these world-class Cebuanos through these commemorative prizes.

“When Kenneth was tapped to design the trophies, his obvious choice as the manufacturer of the trophies was us, since are known not just in Cebu but nationwide to be the leader in the metal crafts industry,” says Sales & Marketing Director Gia Suarez.

It is interesting to note that Suarez and Son also made the trophies for the Ironman competition last year as well.

A Legacy as Strong as Iron

Stronger than the physique of these Ironman athletes is the legacy behind Suarez and Son. The superior metal craftsmanship of the company has a long history dating back to 1953.

“Our father started this engraving and stamping business 60 years ago.  He made the Suarez name synonymous nationwide with quality emblematic jewelry and metal crafts because of his passion for perfection, a keen eye for detail, good taste and entrepreneurial spirit.  He has inspired us to continue his legacy for many more generations to come,” says Rafael Suarez.

Today, after the evolution of technology in the field of metal crafts, Suarez and Son continue to stay true to its tradition of excellence in quality and artistry. This dedication has upheld their reputation as the top supplier of commemorative school and corporate rings, trophies, emblems, plaques, and other metal crafts all over the country. Students from all over the Philippines treasure their college memorabilia created by Suarez and Son.
Included in their long list of projects are Coca-cola’s commemorative pins and bottle markers for its 100th anniversary, Avon’s brass miniature liberty bells to mark its centennial anniversary, a pure gold medallion for the King of Thailand, the medals for the 1995 and 2005 Southeast Asian Games, and the commemorative Pedro Calungsod coins, which were brought to the pope for the saint’s canonization.

According to Suarez, the secret behind their continued success is the passion for outstanding workmanship that drives all stakeholders of the company.

“It is important to have workers who are not just highly trained but who also enjoy what they are doing and take pride in being part of a team that manufactures world class metal products. Once you have workers with this training and mindset, it is easy for us make sure that quality is maintained through quality control procedures in every department,” says Gia Suarez.

Now on its 60th year, Suarez and Son has placed its commitment and legacy of metal craftsmanship in the making of the Cobra Ironman 70.3 trophies. And just as how each of their clients still hold their Suarez-made memorabilia in their respective homes, the winners of this triathlon shall surely have these trophies to always remember this significant victory.

Hiring a Wedding Photographer

Hiring a wedding photographer may seem like a simple task, but choosing someone to capture all the moments and details of that special day can be much more difficult than most couples realize. The professional you select will create a photographic record that will be treasured by your family for generations, and making this decision is a critical step in the wedding-planning process.  In some instances, hiring the wrong person might not only result in poor wedding photos, but could also have a negative effect on your entire wedding day (for example, imagine a sloppy-looking photographer running around, blocking the guests' view and constantly distracting you from enjoying your day).

One of the most common and unfortunate mistakes couples make is hiring a family friend or an enthusiastic relative to photograph the day.  Some may even ask guests to take as many photos as possible with the hope of piecing together an album composed of candid shots, most of which are unusable.  Keep in mind that even with the proper equipment, taking a picture in a wedding properly is a daunting task requiring significant experience, the finesse' to be virtually invisible, and most importantly the talent and artistic vision to capture the memorable details and emotions of your wedding day. It is certainly not a job for the faint of heart.

How, then, does one choose an accomplished, professional wedding photographer? The key items to consider are your personal preferences in photography, your budget for the event, and the professional relationship and chemistry you have (or don't have) with the photographer.

Wedding photography is usually classified as traditional, photo journalistic (candid), and artistic.  There is a wealth of information online regarding these categories, if you would like more explanation of each.  Although some photographers may declare that they are "hardcore photojournalists" (the current buzz-word in the wedding photo industry), I believe that a good wedding photographer must be able to do all the styles equally well. It is important to review a good selection of the photographer's work, and you should love most (if not everything) you see.  You should insist on viewing complete wedding albums to see how your final album could look.

If you don't feel an emotional connection with the photos, you need to hire a wedding photographer may seem like a simple task, but choosing someone to capture all the moments and details of that special day can be much more difficult than most couples realize. However many are comply and still struggle with the application procedures and some have been denied. Statistics say that US embassy receive some 210,000 non-immigrant visa applications, which is about 700-1,000 applications a days. An approximate of 30 percent were disapproved for various reasons.
